We are delighted to confirm that the "Baltonsborough Five" now forms part of the "Somerset Series".

Somerset's annual Baltonsborough Five Mile Road Race last took place at 11 a.m. on Monday 26 August 2024 (Bank Holiday Monday), and will take place again on the last August Bank Holiday Monday in 2025.

 

In addition to the main five mile race, there was also a combined 1.5 mile fun run and 1.5 mile junior race, which will again be held on the last August Bank Holiday Monday in 2025.

 

After the races, the annual Baltonsborough Show takes place. Most years, we hold a children's "Rainbow Run" at this, during which participants are showered with powder paint at various points along the course. Unfortunately, we were forced to cancel this event in 2024 for insurance reasons. We hope it can take place again in 2025.

 

In December 2024, we shall again be holding Baltonsborough's charity "Christmas Pudding" race over the same course as the Five Mile Road Race. All profits raised will go to charity, and all participants (who are encouraged to wear fancy dress) will receive a Christmas pudding.
